CREP
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS Michigan’s Conservation Reserve Enhancement
Program (CREP) was created to help protect our environment and enhance wildlife
habitat. In addition to the
environmental benefits, CREP offers significant financial advantages to the
landowner or operator for establishing conservation practices on their eligible
areas CREP conservation practices include filter strips,
riparian buffers, field windbreaks, wetland restoration, and grass plantings.
Areas eligible for CREP in Livingston County must be located in the
Saginaw Bay Watershed Area; however, landowners outside this watershed are
eligible for programs similar to CREP. To discuss your CREP eligibility or for more
